Areas with lots of good habitat will continue to thrive but the loss of habitat (clearing trees out of fence rows, drainage ditches, etc...) paired with EHD has made much of Western Iowa suffer. There will continue to be pockets where herds thrive, but there are fewer herds overall

I smelled one on the West property line of pickard park (indianola) last week near the creek crossing. Couldn't spot it, but the smell is unmistakable. Might have been just over the fence into private ground. Didn't look terribly hard
Yes, with the exception that the two additional $15 antlerless tags are season specific. The any sex and first antlerless are good for all seasons. They also override the regulations for counties that have gone antlered only
You must have bought through the app. The printed tag says the following "Important: valid for all seasons, if qualified. Season dates and method of take applies."
Nothing to abuse, that was the intent. It's a floating tag now. I always ask for late muzzleloader for my anysex landowner tag and they couldn't find it in the computer. Instead they found the good for all season tag.
