I have a CBE sniper 5 pin that I like. Well built and light, and the pins are bright. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles but I think some of that stuff is a gimmick.

IMHO i don't think the state record will come from a lake/river without shad as a forage....even at 36" I don't think that fish right now would weight 13#. But, imagine a 36" eye from the 'sippi or des moines river basin, pre spawn. That fish would go 18# plus!

I have a nikon monarch that I like. I got it at a garage sale for $125 which makes it even sweeter.

I have some older ones that take lantern style rechargeable batteries. There ok over mineral or bait....

I like 'em, sort of. There triggers factory are usually pretty lack luster. Other then that there solid. The skeleton stock(boat paddle) ones have a cult following and are bringing some what of a premium.
