I have been collecting license plates from all the counties I hunt (for my cave). Wondering if anyone here would happen to have an old Allamakee plate laying around they'd like to get rid of? They've been elusive on the auction site.....ones in decent condition anyhow.

Shot distance average depends the person, not the region you hunt. I setup for 10 yard shots and most of them are within 5 yards either side of that. Scout until you can make it happen the way you want.

I hope they get the tagged stand legislation through. I'm tired of seeing tree stands on public ground that stay there for years and never get taken down. It happens alot in my area. I'm not the type to hunt someones stand and would rather be able to contact someone to work something out or...

The insurance industry needs to get real and realize that Iowa deer hunting is an industry of its own and there are many areas of the State that nothing much will bring down collision rates. Many landowners want deer on there land and won't allow the Farm Bureau induced Bumstead harvest plan...

I welcome keeping our NR tag allocation at the level it is. That is the only thing that will keep outfitters in check. Can't get tags, can't run a business.
