Looks like would work to me, unless I'm missing something. Your tractor can't go fast enough to get that disc to flip straight up. If your worried, run safety chain from drawbar to tongue.
I try to pull mine yearly, rarely put back in same tree but always general area. No reason to leave in weather for what new ones cost. If I had 50 stands I guess maybe be different but I don't have that many days to hunt.
As I understand it, that also is baiting. It's not normal ag practice to scatter corn on the ground. I have supplemental mineral in the same spot all year round. I agree if you are ethical you know the difference.
I never said it wasn't a nice deer. I was just stating that I read name on board before realizing that was it. Maybe was all the big deer around it or maybe just avoiding the traffic. I was just expecting to see it and say wow that's it.
First off, I'm only 33 so don't read if you've owned land longer than I've been alive!
I'm not here to say leasing is right/wrong as everyone's situation is different.
(So in my opinion)
If you are paying 20,000/yr to hunt you need to take a class in common sense.
If you say that all...
I will say 160+ yearly is possible, although not likely, especially on public. Even on private there is too many uncertainties such as you can't control what neighbors harvest and poachers. Pressure is/can be high. There is 11 people that I know of that hunt the section I live in.
Had 15 does n 4 pt in beans by 430. Then they get spooky and head out slowly. See 6 running across other end of field, couple decent bucks. Then dead until 5:28. 5 bucks 300 yards away, fawn walks in beans and they come. Biggest was 150s 3.5-4 year old. Did see 2 hawks attempt to pick off a...
That's odd, 1 of my spots has some beans that were too muddy to combine. Deer have been pounding them every sit. That's where I am tonight, pieced blind back together. Now just hope it stays here
Yeah I'm on standing beans/and or corn depending where I'm hunting. I have to walk across open field to exit so I've been clearing field. Just they run to 500 yards and look. Hell other night cleared field, unzipped blind to get out and 6 were coming in, scared them to me lol.
Are you guys hunting the food or way to food?Easy exit or clearing field? I've been yote howling to clear field, but still could see a mile or better at 6 last night
I've been out daily since day after Christmas, seeing good numbers everyday just majority is does. The bigger bucks were more common last week, I'm blaming the full moon. Bucks that have been out at 430 are now coming at 515. The older/bigger bucks were coming at 515 now are after shooting...
