I took a youth out last night. Saw plenty of deer- none we wanted to take (tiger woods). Been getting a lot sent in to the social media page I'm apart of and sharing their harvests - plenty of deer hitting the ground Good luck to all those going out this week and coming weekend!!
I imagine once it sells I would lose access to it. Which happens. Hope for the land owners it sells - they are expecting their first grandchild in Florida and need to sell in order to move. Until then- I'll hunt there. Taking a youth there this Sunday going after Tiger woods
there is def a difference in what he looks now to what the body will look like in 1.5-2 months from now. but from these 2 pics- ill stick with my 3.5 age guess. I have had young deer with oddly good mass and brows at a young age before- try to not even look at antlers when im personally...
I have access to 8 properties, all private. Range from 250 acres down to 35 have hunted most of them since I was pretty young, a couple I just recently gained access too. many many many hours over the years of learning farm chores :)
I am not an outfitter- and I do not Lease these places either. Have just been very fortunate to have sole access to many spots and years of good management are reaping benefits (not saying I will shoot one of them this year- but certainly getting more options each year :) )
I have a ton of pics since my last post and some great out of velvet pics- but ill just post these- this guy is a tank of a typical and if he keeps up this day light pattern my season wont last long:)
Went up north to lake vermilion, didnt catch any giants this year, but I caught a ton of nice pike, bass and walleye. For some reason didnt take any pics of the walleyes, just fried them up:)
great weather and fun trip
I have had amazing luck over scrapes in late October. Especially after a good rain. Usually once the weather ends it wasn't long they were hitting the scrapes I'll usually pee in them before getting in my stand and always seems to get them fired up
