I like the new 3 year options they have on license's this year. But i don't understand why they don't have a 3 year hunting/fishing/habitat combo? Looks like it would be around $140. Maybe they think the price would scare people away? Thats definately what i will be needing.

My brother has a Marcum LX-5 and i have a Humminbird Ice35. They both work great, so don't think you have to have a Vex. I would love to pick up one of the newer LCD models one of these days.

Yes it is legal, but you cannot shoot over the road or over a fence onto another oersons property, which leaves a very narrow window of oppourtunity once the bird takes flight. I used to road hunt myself, so i'll go out on a limb and say that most think nothing of shooting over the fence onto...

I have talked to deer processors in my area many times. A few times they have told me that 2/3's of the deer brought in are shed bucks. I also agree people need to look a little closer before they shoot. Some people here are meat hunters, but i believe that most would rather shoot a buck...

Looks like i found the answer to my question. All Participants Must be Licensed - All participants in a hunt must be properly licensed and have paid the appropriate fees. It is up to the discretion of the conservation officer to determine whether or not a person is “participating.”...

Nope, not a youth tag. He's an adult.

My son wants me to go with him shotgun hunting this morning. He has a tag and i dont. Can i legally go with him just to sit in the blind together? Can i do any driving to him? I'm guessing i need a tag to help him that way?

I use a 701 and it has always seemed a little sticky and noisy.

Absolutely. I like finding a property i want to ask about, then print it out showing the property lines. I'll put the name and address of the landowners on it and hit the gravel. Although my luck was pretty bad finding anything new this year. I use that one along with Bing maps, Google Earth...

You try to zoom into a specific area and it takes you so far off that you can't even tell which direction you went. Not very accurate. It seems like it's been doing it for the last year or so. Never noticed it before. Anyone else have the same problem?

I hunt muscatine county too. Any way you could give me a general idea of where you found her? The township maybe? That's a bummer knowing it's probably here.

I read a thread recently where someone used a couple coats of clear fingernail polish on just the part of the nock that goes into the shaft. He said it worked great. And if you put too much on, just scrape or sand some off.
