    Strange marking?

Looks like he/she is shedding. Gives a strange look to the black & white photos which are often temperature (infrared) based.

    Denial

Can't say that I am totally up to date in the cow/calf arena, but don't most farmers/ranchers that run cows on pasture put out mineral blocks or mineral stations??? They prolly don't allow the deer to use them...

    Otter and bobcat mounts

Totally! Cole will get my business for about any small mammal I want done. Owenator's grey fox for example! I would bet good money he does a pretty mean otter. Hear tell he does a pretty awesome fish also. ;) Unless I already knew exactly what I wanted ahead of time, I would just tell him to...

    Practice makes perfect

Practice with light loads. That way they won’t flinch when shooting heavy loads at turkeys! They won’t feel a thing when actually hunting and much more likely to hit the turkey! Good luck!

1 year old black lab with selective hearing

Loose dog without supervision is always a bad idea!!! Great recipe to end up with a dead dog, one way or another! E-collar can be a great training tool. Downside is, if you don’t know how to use one they are often a disaster!!! Learning how/when to use an e-collar takes longer than using one to...

Roundup Ready Corn & Soybean Food Plot

I plant some of both corn & beans for late season plots. I'll have to agree with Sligh. When the winter is REALLY nasty day after day (which it hasn't been for a few years), the deer pile into the beans and do it in shooting light. The past couple years deer feed much more in the corn. Even...

    Propagating cedar trees- Thoughts

They don't eat them like they do the white pines, but they sure like to rub on them!!! I've got some Norway spruce that have really weird shapes after being rubbed on year after year. Look nothing like a Christmas tree.
