Mo will never get the gun season off the rut. Just like Iowa will never get rid of party hunting. There are over 500,000 gun hunters in Mo, that say no to moving the season.

You get to hunt every year don't you. You can kill two male deer and two turkeys for 225.00. I have land in Iowa that I have waited five years to hunt and the tag was over 800.00 for one male deer and a doe and before you all start. I do know the rules that is why I sold it this month.

The way I see the proposed law on baiting: Even if you're 205 yards from a bait pile and the deer is with in the 200 yards you can not shoot it.

Just did this research for myself. Thought I would share it here. Remember I'm just talking B&C bucks, 195 n.t. 170 typ. with a bow. The replies here sound like were talking all deer. Be great if someone did one on P&Y bucks. That may change the dates. Every one have a Happy New Year.

This says a lot. Out of 166 B&C killed with a bow in the last few years. Nov. 1-10 =107, Nov. 1-15=143, Nov.16-30=23. This research was from the P&Y quarterly magazines with the best days being Nov.3=14, 4=15, 5,=15 6=16.

Don't know about zone 5 or 6 but to draw a bow tag in zone 4 it takes 4 or 5 years. Didn't get drawn this year with 3 points so now I have 4 will get a tag next year, but that's a 5 year wait. Tag price $571.95 +app. fee 78.95 per year x 4 =$315.80 total tag price $887.75. Good Luck.
