This. I have first lite merino base layers and they have made a world of difference from the old UA crap I had before. I also have a merino neck gaitor that is one of my favorite things to have with me in the field.
You have way more time off in Novemenber then I will hunt all year ... I have been out one time so far. You have plenty of time to get it done! Good luck
I have a HBS and it does help a lot when it comes to keeping your feet warm but you don't always wear the HBS when it's 35 degrees. Or at least I don't. My feet will get cold even if it's pushing 40 degrees.
I'm with you guys... it's the only thing that keeps me from staying in the stand. My hands stay warms and can keep my core warm. If my feet get cold... I'm done.
I was just at scheels the other day and a guy was telling me about a vendor they are bringing in just for their heated socks. Said they last quite a bit longer than everyone else. Price point is a little higher and closer to $200. Which is pretty spendy ... I will figure out what the name of the...
The VS360 from Muddy is a pretty nice blind and at a very reasonable price. Can almost buy two of them for the price of some of the more expensive blinds out there.
I have a field that is about 15 acres in size that typically has about a dozen scrapes around it this time of year but there is not as many it seems this year. only a couple from what I have seen on my quick walk a couple weeks ago.
Couldn't be any better news than that. Now ... just hope all goes well Saturday and things actually fall into place! I didn't see this ending well... I'm glad and hopeful that it will!
