I was just looking through some of my saved pics from last year and found this one. I had loaned out one of my homebrew P41's to a friend that hunts a 1/2 mile from me. This is one of the many bucks caught on this scrape in October of 2009. It's amazing how much better quality the bucks are a...
He's got something going on with the fur on his back.
Bellycrawling under too many barbwire fences? or just some kind of skin condition?
Homebrew Sony S40, BG2 board.
These guys are probably right, but i did alot of filling anhydrous tanks a couple weeks back and it's not the most pleasant stuff to smell. Downright nasty. I kinda find it hard to believe a deer with their super sniffer would want to get their face right down in it to feed.
I have a Canon HV20 i use to film my hunts. It not quite as good in low light as the high dollar cameras but has very good video quality. The HV20, 30, and 40 are HD cameras and at a very good price.
Way down from last year. Last year was bad too. Louisa County.
Got alot less trailcamera pics the last two years. Didn't even see any places where the deer had knocked down the corn at all this year.
I wish they would ease up on the number of doe tags.
Try some Cat Crap.....Seriously.
I'm not so sure you would want to be rubbing anything into your expensive lenses, but it is soft stuff. Sort of like a soft wax consistancy. I use it on my trailcameras and it works great. Only 4 or $5, so it would be worth a try. I think they have it at Bass...
I have pictures of this buck from last year too. Looks pretty much the same this year.
Only bad thing is this property has alot fewer deer on it and most times i hunt it i see no deer at all. As much as l would like to get this one, i probably wont spend much time there.
What do you guys...
I was sent a photo from a friend that has been handed down by many people that shows a 47 pointer supposedly roadkilled on I80 by Davenport. I know i have seen this picture in the last week somewhere. I also know not to believe anything i hear this time of year.
I'm just trying to verify the...
With zippers, all you have to do is call, phone, or email them. They will send you some in the mail. They did for me and many others. That way you don't have the expense of sending it back.
My son Matt got a nice 8 point buck saturday night. The property we hunted is only a 5 acre piece of timber with 80 acres of crops. Doesn't take deer long to figure you out. He sat in a stand on the edge of a cut beanfield and i was in the timber. I only saw 3 small bucks and a coyote after it...
These pictures made their rounds a couple years ago. I even saw a picture of the skinned head. It's actually another base growing out of or very close to the eye socket. It wasn't another deers antler broken off.
I think this weekend i might try and get some crappie fishing in. Forget about hunting for a couple weeks.
My only problem is i am working part time for a farmers coop and the anhydrous season wil be rockin for the next 3 to 4 weeks. I may not even be able to hunt until it's over. Maybe i'm...
Yes, but at least the odor left over from your last sweaty hunt would be gone.
I do wash my clothes regularly but in the winter it gets harder to do. Can't dry them outside in the subzero temps. I don't like using the dryer (even with dryer sheets) as i find it almost impossible to get rid of...
i only have 6 stands between 2 properties and only jumping stands depending on wind direction.
I have cameras out, but not at stand sites. At least 100 yards from any of my stands. Only had them up for about 3 weeks on my best property and all summer on the other one.
