I have a strong feeling that this could be at least in part related to the DNR banning the use of AR style pistols for deer hunting. Up until last year AR style pistols could be used during shotgun and late season muzzleloader as well. But this year the IDNR snuck in a piece of code that related...
Ya but if it came with a one buck per hunter instead of 2 or 3 just think how much better the hunting would be in a few years... More time to fill your tag, people being a little more picky, and less bucks shot overall. Id love to have a floating tag and I wouldnt even care if it was the only...
Well youre sort of correct... 200yds isnt that far with the right equipment and someone who knows how to use it... But for the guys still hunting with open sight slug guns and or smooth bore barrels its way to far but given the chance to hunt ober bait 200yds away Im sure the amount of people...
The biggest problem I see is that it will basically promote longer shots... A lot more people trying 50ud bow shots and 200 yard gun shots... And lets face it, the average guy has no business taking either of those shots
Ive decided to build an AR-10 in 6.5mm Creedmoor so Ive got a new unfired .556mm/.223 AR-15 upper and scope with mount Im thinking about selling.
The upper is an AR-Stoner 5.56mm 1-9" twist upper, I swapped out the stock plastic handguard for an AR-Stoner 15.5" freefloat M-LOK one.
The optic...
Im not familiar with the law as its written now but I was talking to someone who gets this license and he said he can hunt with a shotgun or muzzleloader all year, that hes hunting with a muzzy during the rut. Is that really how it is or was he just blowing smoke up my but or poaching???
Im going to guess so. Ill be switching to my buddy's handloads next year, ran out of time before season started this year.
I never fired a shot this shotgun season, only had doe tags and didnt have an opportunity in an area I wanted to haul a doe out of. I did let a buddy use mine for his kid...
Ive got a 20" Bushmaster brand .450 with a 1-8× scope and its a ridiculously good shooter with factory Hornady ammo. Sighted it in off a leadsled and the final 3 shot 100yd group was one wallowed out hole you could cover with a nickel.
Ive got a buddy that did some handloads with Barnes 250g XPB...
It doesnt matter how obvious it seems to you... All he has to say is that its a coincidence or I shoot out there all the time and itd be really tough to prove otherwise... Technically he can go out and shoot as much as he wants whenever he wants if it effects your hunting or not. The burden of...
SST's are usually reallt accurate but as far as bullet perfomance they normally suck... Just like you said your basically shooting a FMJ unless it hits something hard like bone.
It sounds like it is for sure a "hunter harassment"... Probably tough to get a CO on your side though because Id imagine itd be tough to prove that his intention was to ruin Someones hunt
Oh jeez there goes the neighborhood... Just kidding, Ive chatted with Skip a time or two and Chris you couldnt have found a better person to take over well better person might be a stretch well just say more passionate person
