There's been 2 good bucks hit on the highway near where I bow hunt. This pic was sent to me yesterday. The other was a huge 10.

How big of a tree can be dug up and moved with just a shovel and bucket? I have a bunch of knee high white oaks that I would like to transplant into a new area.
This property is just under 15 acres with a 1.5 acre pond, 5.5 acres of hay, and some timber. There's big ag fields to the north and south and bigger timber blocks to the east and west. Last year was my 1st year bow hunting it, but I'm impressed at the number of deer that move through it. I'm...
I bow hunt a 400 acre piece and a 15 acre piece. Given a choice I would hunt the 15 acres. I get just as many mature deer on cams on the small piece. it's in a great pinch point, between two large tracts that get 0 pressure. There's probably 2 acres of timber on it. I close on 6.5 acres...
I've hunted public in zones 2,4,7,8, & 9. I've encountered good deer in all zones. I'm a resident so I have a lot more time to explore, but there's overlooked pockets of ground all over the state.
We hung a stand in a lone tree in a cattle pasture due to the advice of the farmer. The deer came out of a marsh a 1/4 mile away and followed a fence line right past this tree headed to the ag fields. It felt and looked strange, but my dad killed a buck the 1st night and I missed a buck the 2nd...
We found 1 dead fawn that was probably clipped by a car, and a doe that was hung up in a fence. She had a messed up hoof/lower leg like the pics above. I'm guessing that effected her ability to get over the fence.
The teeth showed him to be 6.5. He got the mount back today as well. The score means nothing on this one but we taped him at 135 4/8.

It depends. This was the 3rd yr. I've had cams out on public. I've had no issues, but I can also count on 1 hand the number of people I've gotten pics of on this property. My brother put cams on a different property this year, and his cams disappeared in the 1st month.
I did all but 1 sit on public ground this year. These were the 5 best deer I have pics of. I saw 2 of the 5 while in the stand.

The ongoing criminal conduct is a class B Felony. Each Theft 2nd charge is a Class D Felony. 2nd degree murder is also a Class B with a maximum of 50 years. In the eyes of the law the murder and ongoing criminal conduct are on the same level.
