so i had a 6 pointer come in at 20 yds this morning , put the pin on the sweet spot and let it fly. i hear a sharp crack noise like hitting bone maybe? he just jogs 10 yds behind me then back again so i saw both sides of him and somehpw never saw the arrow. he never really ran but went another...

well had 2 nice bucks and a doe come running in this AM , watched the one do a snort wheeze facing me at 10 yds , then he turned back and was quartered away at 30 ..... i shot under him ... sigh

didnt see much of anything this evening. couple small does was all. hoping tomorrow is better

i was told this morning that the DNR found 80 dead in a state park south of winterset , Pammel im thinking? but not sure that was the name

all i've seen so far is lone bucks, pairs of unharassed does and the same little 4 pointer harassing every few days

out this AM , think the wind has them all hunkered down. so far only chasing i've seen over the last week is this same 4 pointer harassing the does , all the other bucks are doeless and the does are mainly unharassed and wandering in pairs. did see a big boy lay down in a combined bean field...
