The rain will help them for sure, they may not produce huge turnips but they will continue to grow. turnips seem to prefer the cooler sunny days in my opinion. The rye will take off as well and fill in the gaps after this rain.
Good thing is no heat to burn off the moisture from the rain.

All that thatch residue will act like mulch and keep the ground from getting scorched. It will also hold the moisture if it rains so its a win win!! I have no tilled brassicas into mowed that in years that soil moisture was a real concern/drought years and they turned out well.
