Also look at data pre hunt and post hunt. Still quite a few deer getting hit after the hunting season is over when the deer population is at its lowest.
ok this is odd. I butchered the deer Sunday and I threw the gut pile in my Garden. I went out this morning and gut pile was not in the same spot. Deer tracks all around and my garden looks like somebody took a rake to it. Guts were in a big pile of dirt.
Is it possible another buck got the...
2011 Ford F-150. My wife named her Lola which is short for Delores which means headache in Spanish. Or you can think of the Lola, she was a show girl! Sure beats hauling them in the back of my GMC Jimmy!
And here's how Lola looks with her first Deer (the buck I just hit while driving my...
what crops are in the area? Upper left looks to be a cut field. Deer should be bedding down in the woods and crossing the road (let side) to eat. Without seeing other woods in the area its hard to say where else deer could be bed down. Depending on the wind they could be at the lake one day, and...
I hit the deer on Feather Ridge Road. This is in the Wikiup Hill area NW Linn County between Toddville and Palo. Huge Preserve and public hunting there and lots of riverbottom so lots of big bucks in the area (come and get them if you can wink wink). I saw another buck had been hit a mile down...

The ticks seem to love the humidity coming off my greenhouse windows. Last year I picked 30 of them off. Doesnt help that there use to be a deer farm next door and now texas longhorns.
Wow, that was impressive. I can field dress in under 3 minutes, but skinning a deer usually takes me 45 minutes. Warm deer and very sharp knive makes a heck of a difference. I use an electric hoist.
Facebook is Great! Especially for businesses!
As for internet privacy, doesnt matter what site you are on, a savy googler can track down someone and put a real name to a user login pretty easily. I have been trying to limit my "googleable" internet footprint.
Here's how I think it will go down. People who dont like hunters wont open their properties for a few measly dollars.
Landowners who only let friends/family hunt wont join.
Landowners who already let anyone/everyone who asks hunt will join, which will publicise that land to people who didnt...
I thought of a funny prank that would be fun to pull next year for those of you with trail cameras. Wear a Iowa Whitetails hooded sweatshirt and ski masks and start showing up in your trail camera pictures. Lol. you know, like weres waldo...
