OK.. Since this is all hypothetical.... How about only NRLOs currently on record get an annual tag that they pay regular NR fees that allows them to hunt their property. This would increase $$$ for the state of Iowa without creating the crazy land rush some resident hunters are so fearful of!

Even if the DNR suggested these changes, which I doubt, the governor would never let it happen.

More NR tags would help the deer#s and hurt access. Opening up the rut to gun hunting would be the only thing that would destroy Iowa's deer other than disease.

Anyone had any luck yote hunting? That's something NRLO can do every year with you!

I remember when some NRs were abusing the archery doe season it was taken away instead of prosecuting the few that were abusing it. I would think the # of bucks killed in that NR archery season was a drop in the bucket compared to the # of button/shed bucks killed in the late rifle season. Just...
