Hey guys I'll start off by saying that I read nearly thread in the dbltree corner so I know what they say....I'm wondering if any of you guys plant say brassicas back to back? I have a plot that was killer this year and it was the brassicas dbltree mix(i mean killer killer) and I'd like to have...
You should continue reading and you will find where I sent them back and they "checked" the cameras and sent them back saying they were ok....the issue I am having isn't that the camera doesn't work but it takes about 98% false triggers and fills the card...I'm not sure how they tested my...
Same here bud!! And the only thing that it means is it can't get any worse so hopefully next year is better! All we can ask is for a better moon phase when those special times of the year come around! But this was the issue with many many hunters out there!
I tried all sorts of setting and then changed them to the default setting hoping that would help and of course it did not...maybe I just got two bad cameras but it's enough to make me not want them anymore...to each their own I guess...my 2013 model M-880 moultries are flat out the best camera...
Man I have read the threads time and time again...there is not a better source of info on food plots out there and trust me I looked! I agree with the frost seeding of clover! It will get piles of attention well into November depending on the weather! I know you said your going to put brassicas...
I have two MP8 that just take photos until they are full and then I get nothing! Super sweet! I contacted covert and they said that I I sent them in thy would replace them with new ones...perfect right???? That is until they sent me my same cameras back and said they worked just fine...put them...
I've never used the field pod but have used the chair pod and as long as you sit in it your fine but with the gun in the rest it adds a ton of weight in the front and if you stand up it will fall over but once again this is the chair pod...and as long as you know this going into it for hunting...
The buck had a second job and mom was on Obama care! So we would've taken care of the fawns for her! Thanks for killing her so we didn't get another tax hike!
I shot SST's last year and man the accuracy is incredible it like all have mentioned is they just pass straight through without expanding...this year I switched to Barnes TMZ 250 grs...have shot three deer so far...one buck that ran about 40 yards and piled up and had some blood to followed...
On the particular farm in referring to I'd say we are somewhere between 2-3:1...doe to buck ratio...I think to keep the herd in check and have a bit of a more eventful rut then I need to take some out...I took two does down this weekend and probably will do so again this weekend but like Daver...
Im posting this a little late but here we go....I leased a new piece of ground this year in a very good area. I was able to get on it right after winter to shed hunt it and found a few but nothing big. With the wet spring the farm did not get planted with any crops. I was able to put in some...
Agree on buying new...as an ag tech if someone is getting rid of a tiller it's probably on its last leg...you don't want to have to spend a pile on all the repairs when you could've just bought new...where are you located?
Here's something that runs through my mind and maybe this is way off..but there probably more mature deer that are pregnant with possible bucks...I know some of the younger does get knocked up too but probably a lesser percentage than older...last night I killed a 1.5 old doe mainly because she...
As the season winds down a lot of us out there are starting or continuing our doe harvest to help manage the herd....as I'm sitting here waiting on a doe I had a thought; which is better to shoot an older(2.5+) or younger doe? There is no doubt that on my farms a lot like yours the doe numbers...
Hey guys I normally would take my deer to Rick Whitaker but he is not taking anymore animals this year so I need a new guy for this year I guess...I would like someone that's not terribly far away, I am located near Leon....price is not a concern as I don't think you can put a price on the work...
Sat on dbltree mix (turnips, rad, rape) (rye oats peas) last night....field was absolutely full! My turnips look like it snowed with amount that are ate off...pretty wild....from cam pics I would say in my area the greens are the biggest draw right now
