Carter makes great releases and you can usually find a good used one in the archerytalk classifieds. I bought a like new Simple 1 off there for $120. I'll be hunting with it this fall Also, back tension is a technique not a release type. I shoot my Simple 1 using back tension.

They use to draw around June 20th then they started drawing around July 15-20th. Last year I think it was about July 10th. So there is no set in stone date.

Doesn't Iowa have a law that states you can't bring a deer into Iowa from a state that has CWD? Meat has to be boned out, caped, and antlers removed from skull also? I know the DNR had a hunter check stations set up on I-80 last year.
