Got a work conflict. Need to get rid of that burden.

Been having the spin of death lately as it struggles to load or log off. On the computer, I'll open IW and it looks like I'm logged in, but select a forum and it prompts me to log in. Appears something isn't "clean" with log ins and outs.

I found a bumblebee "nest" in one of our outbuildings quite a few years ago. Totally different "hive" compared to honey bees. Been a while since I've seen one. Mowing around occasional milkweed plants hoping for Monarch caterpillars, not seeing any signs of butterflies or eggs.

Nice! And I have catfish and bass in the freezer.:(

She came to the pond just 2 hours after I hung the camera, I was watching from a distance. She picked off the camera first thing and didn't seem too happy about it. There was on avi where it looks like maybe she is eating moss/algae, but she didn't lift a dripping mouth full. She stopped...

Kind of mixed emotions on bear hunting personally. When I deer hunted New York, a bear tag was included. I was really torn about whether I'd shoot one. Just not at the top of my bucket list. Not putting it down, if you want to, go for it. I'll support you! Those look like good bears...

Had half inch of rain last Tuesday(?), followed by 3" the next day, then 1" last night. Noticed scouring of the gravel roads after the big rain last week and the rain last night, so some of it came quick. We were dry. Should be good for a bit, though forecast looks like more is coming. Crops...

Iowa is ahead of that game, with the move to block the acquisition of more public lands when there is a farmer who could buy the ground to start a business. Why should all that land sit idle when someone could be doing something profitable with it that would add taxes to the coffers? :rolleyes:

Looks like weeds aren't going to be an issue. Hope the weather cooperates.

The original manufacturer stopped making them and they were my favorite head. I read on a forum that this company picked them up. I just got them so haven't had time for field testing.

So you are saying things are usually a little slower up north? ;)

On the walk to the pond:

Yesterday after work, I took a brand-new camera and a steel fence post down to try to get pics of the feeding activity. I set the cam to photo and video mode, so should get some still shots as well as video. Watched from a distance and it wasn't 2 hours and the deer was hitting the pond. Will...

On a tangent: This product "Made in China"? "Loose" no more? Nothing "Suruiues"? No V's in the alphabet? Lost in translation? Knuckle dragging hunters won't notice the typos as they are too focused on the graphic design of the package?

I've watched a doe on two different occasions wade knee deep into a pond, stand there sticking her face into the water up to her eyeballs, drag up a mouthful of material and munch it. Not sure what it is she is eating, moss or a plant. Might have to check into it further. Has anyone else...
