Me- I’d give it a try. Yeah they don’t look good, but you had 2 reasons they could have been stressed. If it doesn’t work you’re out a little time. If it works- I want some next year!

My opinion- we’ve became our own enemy. Who wants to shoot a 130” deer when we’ve got 160” on cam? Well guess what- those 130” breed just as much and spread bad genetics. I think the years of “managing” has actually sent a lot of areas backwards

That’s the downfall- people just assume fences are always right. He might think twice if they decide they want to bulldoze a path through along that fence ‍♂️

All the private sales I know of haven’t gotten any “deals” from family members. Basically saving the realtor/auction fee is enough for them. They just get offered first is the only “win” I’ve seen

Looks like my area as well- they move out into a grass patch north of my house which I can watch with a spotting scope. Not brush to hit their antlers- and can see all the sides around them. Its amazing how smart they are really

If it’s all the same- then it doesn’t matter. Kind of end of story? But again- I’d do SE for prevailing wind- no matter what- you are going to have wind. The SE would hunt larger due to that in my area.

Which way is the prevailing wind- it’s not apples to apples for that

Yeah- we are getting a new survey done when we add an acre to our piece- it’s a mess. The last time we dealt with the fence on a different piece- our lawyers said neighbor did not have to pay half because we only wanted it as a “boundary” and not for livestock. No idea if that was true- but...

You could be like my neighbor- just randomly walks around putting in posts claiming that’s the line…. Then on the other side of me now, I have Minnesota hunters who are back for the second year in a row, which is basically non existent. Some fishy stuff in my neighborhood right now

We planted this year- about 3/4 of an acre- picking some for the local town festival and leaving the rest. Pry have 6-700 growing and I wish I was joking. We’ve had a lot of rain and timely rains- couldn’t have asked for a better year for rain in my area where last year I couldn’t buy a raindrop...

So serious question- who feels they saw more deer/were picked off less before you carried a cell phone everyday into the stand? Or who feels like you get picked off now and dont have a clue how/why?

There is something else?! What?! Oddly- I work for an internet company, northern Iowa, southern Iowa (Nora Springs, Truro, St Charles, Red Oak- huge areas) and I HATE being on the internet other than this site. But always looking for more hunting type sites to follow along on- so let’s hear em!

The funny thing- I’ve said before that I missed “good” prices by about 5 years. When I graduated High School some pieces came up for sale but was in no position to even think about it. Now I’d give anything for those prices again
