    Hunting For Dollars

Just sold Van Buren county ground. Sold to neighbor and friend, I was figuring $2800/acre but didn't use a realtor so I took off the commission I would have paid and we were both happy. Settled on $2630/acre.

Nonresident Landowners, check out this website.

Re: Nonresident Landowners, check out this website Believe it or not I was the second view on this thread and I kept my mouth shut. I've seen nothing that would classify that site as a "Friend of Iowa" and nothing but selfish arguments for changing the law. To give equal time though, I have...

    Two of a Kind

Nope- NE of town somewhere. He was a sheriff's deputy but I think about to retire. It was about a 1 beer ride from in town if that gives you a reference for distance. I think we turned east out by the new visitor center north of town. Two happiest days were buying the dozer and selling the...

    Two of a Kind

I can't remember the guy's name but maybe Muddy will know- big AC guy north of Maquoketa. He has everything, acres of parts tractors and some running for sale. Had a series IV D-17 with a loader all picked out and ready for delivery once and I backed out of it. Probably dumbest thing I ever did.

Doing it by hand... (UPDATED w/Pics)

Re: Doing it by hand... A powerful leaf blower may speed the raking next time. I'm afraid that much of the stuff that gets "real green" in there now is probably something adapted well to shade- anyway, good luck.

    tractor question

Heard good things about MF but there were certain models that had transmission woes. Like any of them- some got pretty hard use with a loader so watch that as well, it just depends on the price. Try http://www.ytmag.com and search the MF forum.
