Second dumbest was not buying my little IH 350 back from Bonker when he decided to sell it.

Re: Doing it by hand... A powerful leaf blower may speed the raking next time. I'm afraid that much of the stuff that gets "real green" in there now is probably something adapted well to shade- anyway, good luck.

Heard good things about MF but there were certain models that had transmission woes. Like any of them- some got pretty hard use with a loader so watch that as well, it just depends on the price. Try http://www.ytmag.com and search the MF forum.
