Off topic given the time of year I know, but I'll be at Marco Island Florida in late Feb-early March and have the chance to fish the gulf on March 2nd. Just curious if anyone has fished the area, particularly that time of year, and what to expect. I'll probably go regardless, but was curious...

Mushroom hunters are HORRIBLE. I don't know how many I saw last weekend wearing street clothes with grocery bags sticking out of their pockets.

Grew up not far from there. Pine Lake is a nice state park. Lots of timber and decent hunting along the Iowa River.

Very cool critters, but if they ever find their way into a pond look out. They will take care of the fish population in a hurry!

There are many mature (5.5+) deer out there that don't score more than 150. It takes the right mix of genetics and age for a deer to reach a higher score, and most don't have the right genetics to do that.

I'd love to see ISU win but after watching the D last week in Ames, I think the recievers from Iowa are going to have a hayday.....
