    Hf 159

This bill will die on the floor. The private land management plan alone makes sure of this. This is similar to what Texas does. Our DNR can't keep up with what it has to do now, adding private land management would take a lot of manpower that they don't currently have.

    Preferred Drop Away

I love my Drop Zone. I like the larger arrow rest as I've knocked arrows off of my old two prong rest in the past. Get to the shop and shoot them both, the best one is the one that works for you!!

    Yet another food plot question????

This year we took a dozer and cleared about 1.5 acres on a ridge line for a foor plot. It worked great. I realize that the $$ for the dirt work was more than most are willing to spend, but it's definately worth it if you can swing it. This spring we are going to thin the trees along the edge...

    Sureshot1's Late Season Monster Doe

Great doe. Late season with a bow is always tough. Dec. 28 is my earliest shed.

    Pine or Cedar?

I would go with the cedars all the way. Great cover and the deer love them.

Congrats again. Hell of a season. For those of you who don't know Fred, this year wasn't just luck. I expect big things from him in the years to come. He's definately got a knack for finding the big boys.

    Three beam buck?

It was down by Redoak somewhere. I've got a three beamer on the wall at home. Only about 1.5" long but still pretty cool. Completely separate on the skull. He would have shed three antlers when he shed.

Nothing better than an Iowa Whitetail

Rush isn't the word. He's damn lucky he isn't bear scat out on the tundra right now!!! Maybe he'll post the story sometime. It's quite an ordeal.

    Turnip usage?

A friend in Michigan told me that they have great luck with turnips. He said that they are left pretty much alone until late in the year and then the deer eat them right out of the frozen ground. He said it is funny because it leaves little bowl shaped holes in the frozen ground. Keep us...

    Bittersweet Buck

We're finding that most bucks aged using tooth wear end up aging one year older when using cementum annuli. He's probably older than you think. Great buck regardless!!
