    Need brassica help tonight!

I would get your seed down if you won't be able to disc again prior to seeding. I disced my plot then waited a week. I have LOTS of grass, I wish I would have just planted right away.

    Pull behind sprayer, which one?

I can already tell grasses are going to be an issue with one of my brassica plots. It is too big to back pack spray, which also isn't very effective. Which is the best one to get, opinions?

    Shout out to Buck Hallow

I need to go over and get my "trusty" Bowtech back dialed in. It is shooting low.

Ladino (white clover) seed left over 16lbs $50

Would also trade towards something. Stands, sticks, etc.

    Clover

Mowed my clover low (4 inches). This year I have had lots of broad leaf competition. Lots of moisture so don't think it will stress it but need to but with some 2-4D on obviously before season if this doesn't help.

    Horizontal Rub

Thanks for the insight Ted! Awesome to actually get a response from you.

    Iwom

I would definitely try both. See, I am on the other side. I prefer the the IWOM. I like not having to come out of the suit to grab my binos or other equipment. I throw in on really cold days a big hand warmer pack in the bottom and stay toasty. I will say that I don't really like the hood...

Trying branch holders on stands....got bored today

So, I saw this awhile back I think on AT. I have stand locations where good trees are hard to come by, and there just isn't much for cover. So, I went to the local hardware store and bought some PVC elbows and T joints at 3/4''. I then proceeded to zip tie and wrap with electric tape. I...

Broadcast brassicas and got around 3'' of rain overnight

Went and looked at plot today. Early impression is plot looks really good. Lots of seed germinated with lots of sprouts. At the same time, waiting a week definitely gave weeds a chance to start as well. Will cross That bridge later I guess. I put 420lbs of all purpose fertilizer down, but...

    Horizontal Rub

Not a bad idea at same time I guarantee you place it by a low hanging branch and you will have a successful scrape

That is him, he seems like a really neat guy, I would love to pick his brain!

    Horizontal Rub

Just branches. The key seems to be to incorporate a licking branch as well. Have you watched any of WKP Todd's vidoes? There is an older gentleman (can't think of his name off hand) who uses them a lot and one of his last videos is all about horizontal rubs. He uses them deep in the timber...

    First pull

I would agree a younger deer, and I would say more in the 120s with him just being an 8pt. Like he said, depends on what makes you happy and your circumstances. For sure though a nice 2.5-3yr old buck. Looks like good brows too.

That doesn't help my food plotting confidence. Thanks again for all the insight and opinions guys!

Broadcast brassicas and got around 3'' of rain overnight

Well to be positive at least I got moisture and now some hot humid weather to follow. Should help.

    Horizontal Rub

I am going to try a few as well. I have my cedars cut and stripped. I am going to just put them at natural funnels. So, looking at putting a couple at gate openings and field edges/corners. I will probably put one by one of my food plots as well.
