Hornady 243 Ammo and empty brass

Sold my rifle so I'm left with some ammo and once fired brass. I have 100 rounds of 95gr SST Hornady Superformance ammo ($100) and about 160 once fired brass cases (mostly Hornady match, also 20 remington and 20 winchester). $30 I'll let the ammo and brass go together @ $125. If you buy the...

    What do you think

Yes I meant ears, sorry for the typo. If that's the look you were going for, I'd leave them be. For a first time mount it actually looks really good.

    Struttin already

Hardly a sight to be seen better than a strutting tom turkey. The last few years I've favored golf instead of turkey hunting. I saw quite a few birds in the deer stand this year so maybe I'll try my hand at it again.

    What do you think

He looks pretty good for a first time mount! I think the eyes swept completely back looks a little weird on that pose, would rather see them to the side of the head like he's listening for something since that's sort of an alert pose.

iowawhitetail coyote count and random dog hunt pic

For you guys hunting at night, what power optic are you running? I've heard that the lower power optics work best. I have a fixed 10X on mine because that's what I had laying around at the time...

.308 Rounds from a AR for Deer?

^This is good advice. Best way to know is to just shoot it, all rifles are different. I prefer something 168gr and heavier in my 308 anyhow. I would grab a few boxes of 168's, a couple 175's and hit the range. Something in there will shoot. I'm working on a load for my 16.5" Ruger Scout 308...

.308 Rounds from a AR for Deer?

What's the twist rate on the gun you have now? I would be surprised if it didn't shoot 168/175 gr loads well. I've had good luck with anything Hornady. I'm loading my own now but using Hornady components to do so.

    Heavy Loads (60 gr +) for .223 /AR

I picked up some 68 gr HP ultramax ammo to see if the 1-9 would stabilize the bullets. I also have some 75 gr bthp hornady bullets I plan to load up as well. Seems like its still fairly hard to find the heavier .224 bullets online yet

    coe dude

No one pays any attention to COE, it's basically a continuation of high school (i.e. not a real college).

    Heavy Loads (60 gr +) for .223 /AR

I'm wanting to put together a heavier load than the standard 55gr for my AR. I'm running a 16" barrel with a 1-9 twist. I'm wondering what others successes are with various bullet weights over 60gr. I may end up taking the gun to WY to hunt antelope (.22 centerfires need to have more than...
