Fire will kill small cedars. Cedar (live or dead) goes up in flames very easily. Cedar will self prune lower limbs in the shade, losing its cover value. Scattered cedars with access to the sun provide the best benefit.

+1. Agree with all the above. Grain Sorghum is very easy to grow, and very drought resistant (It's regularly grown in TX with low annual rainfalls). Gets hit hard in the cold from November to December here in Central MO. Usually mine is gone by January but I only plant about 1.5 acres...

Agree in my area as well. The majority of does this year never had fawns with them on camera. Our coyote population is extremely high. I have multiple camera pictures of coyotes walking around with fawns in their mouth this past spring.

Easy to establish.. lol thanks for the laugh :) I believe the state of OK alone loses something like 480 acres of prairie to cedars per day.
