Guess there was no need for a vote for this one! haha. 100% Yes.
Thought there may be a little difference in opinion, but looks like everyone is thinking along the same lines with this one!
Want to get everyone's opinion! For a lot of guys, they can only go and fix/move stands at certain times of the year due to schedules. Ideally, during shed season when you are walking around everywhere anyways is the perfect time to do this. However, what if you can only do it during the middle...
Practice practice practice! Just takes time to get use to it. Big thing would be to practice on a tree setting up the camera stand and the setup so you get a feel for when you’re doing it in the dark some morning. If you have a stand that overlooks a plot the deer hit in the summer, practice...
If you want a decent one that won’t break the bank but last, the Redneck soft sided blind would be great! Can mount it right on the platform you make, strong metal frame, tough outside fabric and zippers. The frame will last forever, and then if you take the cover off after season and put it...
Odd, never heard this part of the hunt when you told me how it went down??? Just happen to "forget" the 2nd best part of the story, besides your dad getting a bird? hahaha
My brother uses a Mossberg 930 combo semi-auto. Doesn't kick at all (Like it way better than my gun). Only thing is, it is pretty long. However, it is really light. One of the cheaper semi-auto combos you can find too.
Worth a look because if I were to get a new gun, it would be that one.
I would have to agree with you. My dad and I thought the same thing... Use to be new companies trying to get their products out and everything to do with deer hunting. Only a few new deer hunting related products and that was it.
Check out the last 2 lines of the updated version. States that the youth hunter can only use the weapon that is legal during that season. Just allows a youth hunter the ability to bow hunt with the tag and they also don’t need to choose between hunting first/second shotgun. Floating tag until it...
A very dumb question haha, but does this mean that it is passed and will be put into the regs this upcoming year? Guess my question for all these proposed laws is, what are the steps through the whole process to get one of these proposals passed to law? Thanks!!!
Working for PwC (Big 4 Accounting Firm) in Minneapolis. Just started a month ago after graduating college. Work is great and puts me on the track to owning a farm down the road! However, I am paying dearly by being out of Iowa for the first time and not being able to get to the farm all the...
LOVE IT!!!! Are you worried as the rubbed post dries out that it might not support the mount? Would love to do this for a buck in the future so I like hearing how people made them and the tricks they have for them!
Agree. None of that is debatable.
All I am seeing is a slightly higher success rate for landowners on more or less mature deer. Iowa landowners do incredible work for the health of animals and overall habitat for all animals in the state. CRP, Food Plots, TSI... The list goes on. Is it too...
November 25th. Saw roughly 22 bucks in a 2 hour stretch in the AM.
Was at about 10 buck and then the last half hour had a hot doe come through and the next 30 minutes was insane. 12 different bucks following her/moving through.
If I would have been one ridge over, it would have sucked. That...
Do you think though, that if this opened up for any season, that landowners would be more picky with the tag and wait for a more mature/bigger deer as they have more opportunities with the tag? I feel as though "most" landowners try to manage their deer herd and therefore, this tag would more...
