    Same buck as last year?

I,like the rest of you, think it's two different bucks. However, the 'crab claw' on the left mainbeam got my attention, as well as, the location, time of year, and age similarities. alaskan- Unfortunately we didn't get any sideviews of the buck last year, this was the only pic. FireDog- These...

    Same buck as last year?

Not to beat this topic to death , but I'm curious to see if anyone thinks the buck we got pictures of a few days ago might be the same buck we got a picture of last September (26th). At first, when my brother asked, I thought, not a chance...but, now I'm not so sure? Anyhow, pretty good series...

    climbing the ladder slowly

I had a similar season with my cameras last year . As long as you know the big boys are close by . Maybe you're saving your best pic for last...of you, with your tag wrapped around one of the bruisers .

Changes as we near the season

After mid-September we take our cameras out of sensitive areas. We move them more towards the edges of our hunting areas, where ground scent is not as much of a concern. Once we are hunting regularly, we will sometimes hang a camera for a couple of days on a route to a particular stand. When...

    Camera question

I check mine every 7-10 days and replace the film with anything over 10 pics. I've found this to be about right, anything longer and the film is used up...and the camera is no longer taking pics. I also move each camera 30-50 yards to a new location each week, keeps the older deer that may get a...

    August Pics

We got these pics on our cameras this past month. Unfortunately we lost part of a roll today when my brother accidently exposed the film....smooth . Several of the pics were taken within 20 yards of stands we have hung . These sheds are from this past spring...all from the same field. Anyone...

    some OK bucks

Great pics Moose. I'll be anxious to see if you get any more pics of the 9 point.

    How much is too much?

All but one of our stands are hung between 16' and 22', the lone exception is a stand we have located in a bald pine tree about 27'. I believe two things to consider with stand height are the amount of cover available on the tree you are using, and what the terrain is like on the downwind side...

    Scent Lok Question

Store your Scent-Lok/charcoal clothing separate. I store mine in one of HS Specialties' bags, though a rubbermaid storage container would work fine also. I use the large rubbermaid containers to store most of my clothes throughout the offseason and then use 4 of the HS bags during bow season. If...

    Early July pics...

I got these pics on the 6th and 15th...right before my computer got hammered with a virus ...what a nightmare . A word of advice...keep your antivirus software updated . I hope to get some more pics of the wide 8 taken on the 6th, anxious to see how much tine length he gets. The pic from the...

Anyone else get pics like this before?

Baggin Bucks-both of my cameras are Camtrakkers. The film I use is Kodak MAX 400.

    They're beginning to take shape...

I developed my first couple rolls of film today and got a few decent pics from this roll...I won't mention the other . Looks like these two bucks have some potential . ... and little does he know but I have a arrow waiting for this one.

Anyone else get pics like this before?

In the 4 years I've had my cameras...never had this happen before. I've got two cameras on the same fenceline a 150 yards apart, this roll had 8 other pics like this these , fortunately the other camera's film was spared .

    what kind of time

Like NWBuck mentioned, I'd rather burn a roll of film than miss a nice buck in the area. I've always set both my cameras at 30 seconds...and time display (day/hour/minute), I usually write the month and location on the back when I get them developed.

    Camera Height?????

I set my cameras about 3' also. Make sure you've got the camera backed off the trail/picture location far enough to get the entire animal in the picture. If you set it up too close, it doesn't matter what height you hang it at .

    Bug suits

I'll put another vote in for the Bug Tamer, works great.

    2003 Gobbler mount

Van's Taxidermy in Newton. Though this particular mount took a bit long, John has done a excellent job on all our bucks the past 9 years.
