Turning the corner in the real estate market?

I agree. Prices are continuing to go up for solid rec farms moving South and West of IL, have been for years. The further you go S and W, the further behind in pricing they seem to be. Kansas and Missouri are good examples. Couple years ago you could buy rec farms for 2500/acre. Now the same...

    Any better trail camera options?

Cuddelink by far the best option for covering ground at the best price. Im skeptical that they catch everything that walks by, but I live with that knowing I can run up to 20 cams on one farm for $42/month unlimited pics and don't have to check any of them.

Why cant you get a battery from QK? Is it an older bike that they don't make a battery for anymore?

    Steel toe boots

Wore Red Wing for years. Switched to Irish Setter, still made by RW I think. They are a little more comfortable and a little less money IMO. Go composite toe instead of actual steel, again better comfort. I have heard of Brundt but not tried them out yet.

    Quiet Kat

Sadly this was my experience as well. I only had 80 total miles on my QK and the battery was junk. They would not warranty it and wanted $750 for a new battery. No thanks. QK is waaaayyy overrated IMO! I bought a knock off brand 750W hub drive bike and it outperforms the QK in all conditions...

How to handle Ragweed in CRP mix

So again, you would leave it be and see what happens in a few years? This farm is in E Central Kansas just for reference.

How to handle Ragweed in CRP mix

Ok, so you would leave it be and just let it grow for a few years and then see what I have?

How to handle Ragweed in CRP mix

In think there are some forbs in there that I would rather not kill. How about mowing it, or did I miss the window on doing that?

How to handle Ragweed in CRP mix

Wondering what you experts think is the best way to handle this 2nd year stand that was planted on my farm last spring. Mix is Big blue, little blue, indiangrass, cave in rock switch i believe. As you can see, it's littered with what I think is ragweed but I'm not certain. Open to suggestions on...

    Miscanthus x Gianteus

Tried some MG for the first time this year. Put about 3000 rhizomes in the ground on 4/29. Got a couple decent rains early and it's off to a great start so far.

VIDEO TOPICS???? What do u want?

Where on a farm and why you did certain land improvements? Show aerial and before after pics of food plot placement, tree plantings, stand placements, access to certain stands/blinds, etc and why you did them in that area. I've owned a few farms over the years and they are all different layouts...
