Your points are hard to follow and all over the place what direction you are going with this. I betcha Skip would tell you firsthand, the timing of buying and selling land when he first started up until the most recent price surge the last 5 years was easier than it is "right now". What's the...

The new M series from PH looks pretty nice for the cost. Looks like $10K for the 5' model.
Def an entry level type drill with having a culitpacker rear instead of individual wheels as well as several less frills than the G series models
I don't think most people think they are changing the genetics in an area by removing a cull buck. It's more of a "make room" for a younger better genetic deer that would otherwise be pushed off a farm by and older age class cull type buck with less than desirable genetics. There is only so much...
Always been a Trump fan. Sure, he's arrogant and over the top on a lot of comments but from a running the country like a business stance, he's exactly what was needed. DOGE is awesome and is sure to wake up some non trump voters on just how out of hand politics has gotten.
I am a NRLO in KS and I agree, they need to get a handle on it before it gets too far gone. I don't have the answers but 1/3 of all tags being NR is far too many. Plus, KS isn't what it used to be either.
Too many crossbows and corn piles on small acreages pulling deer off where they truly live
He said it was a small fortune to buy tags and licenses to go hunting. I asked what he considered a small fortune was for the tags. That's why I wanted to know what he paid.
I am well aware it takes equipment to hunt or golf, or fish, etc. I do all these things.
My overall point was, a $25 tag...
I appreciate your opinion and debate. Like I've mentioned, I'm a NR so I have no idea what those prices are but I am going to take a stab and say under $200 total.
I am a family man too, have kids that I have to pay for all of their "fun and enjoyment" type entertainment, etc.
To me, that's a...
Still wondering what you consider a small fortune to buy tags and licenses for you and your kids to go hunting?
All the gear, guns ammo, etc. I am not interested in.
Just the cost for tags/licenses.
Update:
From my NRCS conservationist in Iowa, for any contracts, EQUIP or CSP that are funded with farm bill funds, they are being told to continue on and work through them.
My Kansas farm is using IRA funds for all forestry work and that's why that one is on hold.
100%
Seems like the best move would be to honor already in place contracts because of this exact reason. Then they can change the rules going forward if desired.
He mentioned it may get sorted out but he had not timeline or any info really.
I agree, with all the cutting of funds in seemingly every govt. department, I had a feeling this might happen.
I sure hope it doesn't come to effect CRP. That would be devastating across the country.
Just got a call from the NRCS in KS. Apparently my EQUIP funds have been frozen and no contract modifications are allowed. No payments allowed to be made, etc.
I had a TSI contract in place.
Anyone else get a call in IA about this?
I have some CSP contracts in Iowa as well, I assume it will all...
