    Cull buck pics

30 acres is tough to say. I would probably just make the habitat the best it can be, stay out of the bedding, hunt the edges and see what happens. People have killed giants on parcels this small or smaller, so it can happen.

    Cull buck pics

I think taking out mature deer that aren't going to score what you want to personally shoot are way more important to get off a farm than most realize. I wouldn't consider any of my farms large but I certainly target the less desirable racked bucks that are mature when they are in range. Makes...

    Any cuddeback experts on here?

Good to know. What do the cams cost? The 3.0 tactacams are like $110 after rebate at menards.

Always love following this thread. I have never trapped but think it's super interesting and wish I had time to do it.

    Any cuddeback experts on here?

I have had cuddelink system for several years now. Started with J cams on AA batteries on down to now having several L cams in the fleet. All with solar panels running to a home cell cam. I have to agree, they don't catch what other cams do. I have a brand new L cam on a feeder in KS. Deer were...

Thoughts on deer prospects this year?

Fair enough, we agree on most of it. I'm not saying crack open the box cause I am not in favor of what that would do but for owning land and paying taxes on a farm and there is zero tag benefit to a guy that pays zero into the state as just a NR, isn't right. Again, that's just my opinion. Maybe...

Thoughts on deer prospects this year?

I'm NR and agree on tag costs. I think they should double the cost of the tag and start there, see what demand does and re-adjust as needed to get it back down to a 2 year wait vs. 5-6 as it is now. This would create more revenue even if the tag sales slide down. $6-700 dollars for a NR tag to...

    Tracking dog

I used a dog in KS a few years ago for the first time. My shot was a total pass through at 33yds. Exited the deer a little low. Great blood for first 50yds and then lost it completely. I tried to find blood for about 30 minutes and gave this guy a call. Fortunately, he lived close by and was...
