the thing is i havent been out for a week and i did no calling then, i have 1 stand i haven't sat in for proly 3 weeks and i plan on headding to it, it would be the closest to bedding area and eaisest to slip in at 8:30am.
ok, this is basicily the last normal week for bow hunting and i wont be able to get out in the early mornings or eveings but i would have time to get out at about 8:30 am till about noon. question is do you guys think it would be worth it? and if so is it worth throwing the book a them with...
i have 2 pop up blinds and 1 homemade hut that i am putting out soon, they will be looking over the harvested corn field between our bigger thick timber and some smaller timber/creeks. thats for either bow or late muzzy set ups. (proly mostly muzzy) hope for some late season snow!!
i have hunted alot of late season with bow, never got anything killed but it can be pretty fun if you can figure out where they are comming out to feed. the deer are very cautious!
hunted last friday, saturday, sunday, and didnt see much at all. my friend has been hitting it hard the past few days and hasnt had much either...both of us in monona county
i havent seen much activity at all here yet, i was kinda wondering if i missed it some how?? usually i see alot of chasing and hear grunting, this year i have actually spent more hours in the stand than ever and have seen less than ever???
on my family ground there were cows for years, semed like i would still see plenty of deer and decent bucks, now all the pasture ground is being farmed so i dont have to worrie about cows.
