I love my Coverts. I've had MP6 and Red40 out since July and haven't changed batteries yet. I get very few blank pictures and the trigger speed is very good. I don't think there is a better camera on the market in their price range.
A couple of my favorites from last year
Here's a pic of the wire method. I went in the passage where the optic nerve would be. You can see it if you look close, but I wasn't really that concerned with it. You could probably hide it a little better than I did.
The first one I did I cut down a piece of a broken arrow to go into the back of the skull. I still ended up wiring it to the plaque. The second one I did I just wired it. I used the braided picture hanging wire. Two small holes in the plaque and wrap the wire in through a couple if the small...
One of the properties I hunt is right on the line, but would be considered zone 8 I guess. There are a couple guys from Michigan that hunt there and they draw bow tags every third year. I have no idea about zone 7, although it isn't a "trophy hotspot" as much as few others are, so maybe the draw...
I started using covert cameras this year and I couldn't be happier. They've been out since June, each one has taken well over 5000 pics, and I haven't changed batteries in any of them. They take good pictures and the trigger time seems very good.
That sucks. I was looking at the aerial pics of the area to see if I remembered where they were talking about. Looks like there should be some decent hunting around there. It sounds like it is just a matter of time before they catch these guys.
I really like them. I shot two deer last year with them and they went less than 100 yards total. I shot a big doe right through both shoulder blades. She was at 14 yards when I shot her and 43 when she was dead. The exit wound was very impressive.
I wash my base layers, socks, and underwear every time. I wash my mid layers every couple times unless it's warm or I get something on them. I only wash my outer layers if they're bloody or real wet/muddy.
If they shoot well I wouldn't think too hard on it. Either of those broadheads should give you good penetration, as long as the arrow is flying straight.
I'm going with carbon express maxima kv in 350 with blazers and a t3.
There's a big difference between what you're saying and actually trying to make a living doing it. There is absolutely no way I would ruin my enjoyment of hunting by making it into a job.
