I stand corrected. It's on the bottom of page 22. January antlerless is included with shotgun seasons. Maybe he said only shotgun season since we don't have the January season where I live. Sorry about the bad info.
The only season you can party hunt is shotgun deer. Every other season is shoot your own, from deer to pheasant to duck or whatever. That is straight from my co.
I know that's how a lot of people see it. I couldn't tell you the last time I shot a buck with my shotgun. I go along with the group because it's a good time. I go after bucks with the bow and muzzy.
On the DNR site there is a list of available classes and I think you have to sign up online for all of them. You can do an online version which requires a field day our you cam do a traditional ten hour class. We do two per year in Anamosa with a three hour class Thursday night and them eight...
Last year I shoot my buck on the 19th. The two years prior (and should have been three years) I've shot my buck on the 12th. I always make it a point to hunt the 7th, 11th, and 12th. Those have been my best days overall so I'm sticking with it.
