I am not an expert but I think those micro shaft arrows when shot into a target have less drag because of the total surface area of the shaft. When shooting an animal the blood lubricates the arrow thus offsetting some of the arrow friction on bigger arrows.
The bone part of the shoulder blade is only the size of your hand with your fingers held tight. That's a fairly small target to hit. I would think a small steel tipped fixed broadhead would be your best bet with the FMJ arrow. I think the odds would be better to shoot a big mechanical and aim...
72 grains of 10X with a 300 grain bullet and 75.5 with a 250 grain bullet shot well in a Savage I had. H4198 is a good low pressure powder but I do not remember the recommended weights.
