I with skyler, let your son pick out his own bow when he is ready. As for the wife, I would get her the best bow you can reasonably afford. Have a nice bow will make it more enjoyable and more likely to stay with it. That's my take on it anyway.

Like others have said, keep a positive attitude and beat it. It's done everyday. Keep God with you, he's pretty good to have.

Refletch your arrows, don't buy new unless you want different arrows. Taking to a pro shop is a good way, or do it yourself as the last guy stated. They also make some heat wrap fletching that you just use boiling water that works really well.

I'd say that first buck has some age on him, I'd guess 5 or so. 140-150 looks about right to me. The next one is also old and I would guess in the up 160's. two very nice deer.

I like hooyman pretty well. It works great, it is a little flimsy, but if you do not abuse it, it does cut good. Just cut on the pull stroke like it is designed and no problems.

I agree with others that it is tough to judge , but based on that last pic he looks 5+ to me.

If you want to score points with the land owner, next time his cows are out in your yard, just run them back in and patch the fence. Then call the land owner and not the sheriff. Trust me he will appreciate it very much.
