It was poor for us too. Saw 2 deer on the farm. Hard to imagine 130 acres in southern iowa, managed for deer, only had 2 on it. Did a push on the neighbors pasture with a ditch, kicked out 6 or 7. It was a bummer of a weekend for sure.

Also, that was a joke. Curtis is sitting next to me, and I’m just having a little fun. Great deer by an even better guy!

I’d like to just shoot “a deer” at this point. My season has been disappointing. Haven’t been able to go much, and when I’ve had time, other commitments have come up, or me, my wife, or my daughter has gotten sick.

It sucks, I completely understand. I’ve dealt with this situation before. Sorry if I came off as confrontational. In my opinion, you have two options at this point. 1. Call the law and have it documented. 2. The dog disappears

Considering the name of this thread, and the fact that I’m a trapper, I sure hope you’re not going on a mission to trap the neighbor’s dog. People tend to think poorly of trapping for various reasons, and things like this don’t help at all. There are so many other options.

Skunks are one of the more valued furs currently. The wider the stripes, the more valuable.

24 hours on most sets. Drowning sets can have an extended check, I do every other day on my beaver sets.

Caught a giant beav today. Haven’t weighed it yet, but it feels heavier than the 55 lb one I caught the other day. Also, I’m 6’5” for some scale. Update, the big bastard weighed 62 lbs.

It was in central Iowa. I’m fortunate to have some great ground to hunt. We always seem to have good amounts of birds. But we also have good habitat.

I think there’s 33 in this pic, it was from the first place we hunted this morning. It’s a 160 that’s all CRP. We had a big group of hunters. I think 17 in all. Hunted one other spot and ended up with just over 40. Called it a day at 11:30.
