Had a bunch of pics of this buck and I figured he was 3, but my taxidermist cuz at Muddy Creek Taxidermy thinks he was just two. Just another case in point to your statement.
I passed this 4 year old opening night and my brother said he wasn’t going to pass him if he saw him…he wasn’t...
These charts show % change in harvest in 2021-2022 compared to 2017-2018.
Granted the rifle swing can be 20K a year when it opens later in November when peak breeding is taking place. November 15th is the bane for a rifle opener...the 10th is a windfall. Along with weather always being a...
It's wild how Elon turned into enemy #1. The dude knows how to get stuff done.
Just goes to show who the real cult is and how you have to stay in line as sheeple or get shredded.
God forbid anyone have individual thoughts.
Shingle oaks make some great "Nurseries" for other more valuable trees. Worked on some a couple weeks ago that were cleared out around some swamp white oaks, walnuts, and black oaks. At the end of the video, there's a swamp white oak that I dropped a few shingles from around it.

Used to be try and kill as many as you or we can during the targeted culling dates.
In a former "Hot Zone" on the MO side in Mercer County. The buck that tested positive (and still only positive found in that area) looked healthy as can be and was mature. Before knowing about CWD, no one would have bat an eye to not eat that deer or suspect something was wrong with it...
The biggest 2-3 year olds have a hard time getting another time around the sun.
One buck shot this year on a neighboring property that I also had pics of was estimated to be 2.5 years old. He grossed 141" with double split brows with an extra g-3 on his left side. It's just the nature of...
Same for me, attended Mercer R-III and most of my family is still there.
Haven't seen a change in deer densities for my farm, but what has changed is the # of quality mature bucks given the increased hunting pressure in the area as opposed to the early 2000's.
