You make it sound like a howitzer. Honestly I don't see how it could be any more deadly than a muzzle loader shooting the same bullet at nearly the same velocity or a 3" shotgun slug flinging a 385 grain saboted slug at 1900fps+. Any of the three kills them just as dead.

Bringing this back to the top. For anybody who actually hunted with a straight wall rifle this fall would love to hear how things went.

Slightly off topic but the IBA booth is generally pretty boring, a table and a banner. I would be surprised if it attracted much interest and would like to know how many new members are signed up at the Classic any given year.
