Used my Marcum today along side my sons Vex FL8. Both worked great. Caught and kept 8 real nice Crappie that were suspended at 10 ft in a 20 ft pond. I did try the Zoom of the marcum and seemed to work great. We fought interference for a while but was able to find a channel that worked for both...

Yes, that bottom zoom feature is what I was looking for. But the Lx3 has a zoom feature that you can move higher or lower in the column, but don't know how well it will work. I'll try it new year day. Might have to head to South Dakota. Around Webster they are killing the perch and some eyes.

I know this is deer site. But good opinions on here. Has anyone used the Marcum LX-3TC flasher for ice fishing. I just bought one. Waffled between the FL18 Vex and Marcum. But Vex was $150 buck more. Hope I made the right buy. Will try it out soon.

I like the cut on impact fixed blades myself. Like he stealforce with bleeder blades that will find it's way trough the rib bones and give a complete pass through. Bottom line you need that pass through or your blood trail can be minimal.

Frimware is usually a chipset followed by a download of software to run the chipset. It can also be just one or the other. Some chips need a software update to turn up some features of the product after the manufacturer discovers a flaw in the product. Clear as mud now, right???

I agree TH i hunted tonight in the Hills west of Woodbine with Muzz and didn't see a thing where I normally see bunches and no ones been in there yet this year. Way down around here.

Many are forked and spikes but will have good rack the second year. i have seen 1.5 year olds with real tiny 6 and 8 point racks though, it's really kind of neat to see a really small 8 point rack about the size of your hands.

Many 2.5 year old bodies can be huge in Iowa. i have shot them before but that was before i started passing them. It can be hard to pass them with a 120" rack but once you start passing them it gets easier. great potential there on that one, hope he makes it through.
