If I do my rye plots this weekend will it be to early for NE Iowa or should I wait until the weekend of the 5th? I don't want it to get to tall before the cold weather. Thank You.

    Brassicas

Thanks Skip. I was hoping to put them in this weekend but the farmer won't be able to get his oats out until next week. I have to drive on his oats to get to where I want to plant. Always something.

When is the latest that you should plant turnips, radishes and rape? I was going to plant this weekend but might have to wait another week. Thanks.

    Egyptian Wheat

Is there anything one can spray on EW and Milo that has a ton of grasses in it? Mine is struggling but it could be something that I did incorrectly on my end. We have had a lot of rain and cool days but Gunny's is doing well just a half hour away.

Cameras similar to the Buckeye cameras?

Justin, As soon as you try a few out please let me know how they work up in the hills. I am truly interested in this type of technology. I think it would be great to stay out of the areas and get an email at home. :)

    Almost thru Jan:

You just jinxed us Loneranger. You started the post that it was only time for the arctic air and it has been nice. Now you are back to it being one of the mildest winters ever? You are a weather man swaying back and forth. :D BTW - I think the El Nino year about four years ago was the...

Cameras similar to the Buckeye cameras?

I seen these. It will be interesting to see what they cost and who will be the guinea pig to see how they perform.

Bkcrrtnps, Do you have one or know someone that does? How is the battery life? I know one of the cameras that I was researching had bad battery life. Thank you.

Cameras similar to the Buckeye cameras?

What is out on the market now that is similar to the Buckeye cameras? Been waiting a few years to hopefully see if the technology is getting better and cheaper. If it has been discussed before my apologies. Thank You.

    Winter so far:

I remember the cold and how deep the frost went. I also remember that we were 2" away from record snowfall in Waterloo/Cedar Falls.

    Winter so far:

If I remember correctly we had record snowfall last year. January was dry last year? I really don't want to do a search to check it. :)

    Winter so far:

After the deer season closes it can get up to 60 IMO. I love being outdoors but cutting timber in 24" of snow on a hillside is not a good time. As far as the yotes I do love hunting them but I might start trapping them as well. I think I could shoot plenty of them anyway in 60 degree...
