I have also been seeing more coyotes this year. I also shot one with the bow this year while I was deer hunting. I thought I could atleast give the deer a rest , and the pheasants too. Plus I think it is really great practice.
I am from South Dakota, and am always looking for a monster buck to put my tag on. But you all know that always doesn't happen. Good luck to all this hunting season.
I have one I purchased from Cabela's. It is an aluminum one with hard plastic wheels. It is a pretty good device. The carts are always good when hunting by yourself and have no one to drag it out with you.
Hello
I think his deer scored 206, it field dessed out at 256, but he was beat in the weight department from a guy from Vermillion that dressed out at 277. The contest was at Larry's Archery Barn outside of Elk Point. Nice deer. Now I have question for you. What has happened to th big...
What I wouldn't give to shot a buck ( or even see one with a drop tine ) Nice pics. Good Luck on the SOON approaching season. Let us know if any of you get the bucks you seen on the Cameras. SD Buck
I am a big fan of Big Buck, N. A. Whitetail, and one I recently started subscribing to was The Whitetail Fanatic Magazine. It is published in Iowa and has a lot of great stories. Here is the web site if you would like to check it out. www.whitetailfanatic.com
I try to stay out the public areas. About 90 percent of the time somebody is messing around in the area. We always talk about staying out of the bucks area before season, but I don't think we can practice that in these areas. Just my opinion.
I have taken all my deer with a bow from a treestand. Almost all of the deer I have harvested with a rifle have came from the ground. This year I tend to try and fill my antlerless tag from the ground, just to try the experience.
I think you'll be ok. As long as the deer have enough time to kinda settle down after you are done. I guess it is better to do it now then closer to hunting season.
