I hunt Dubuque & northern Jones counties and I would have to say the herd is down.There is still spots that are over populated they are all owned by out of staters or locals that lease out the hunting.

Re: Iowa bill to rise non resident deer tags from Girls hunt too the NR are already buying antlerless tags. It's not stopping them from shooting bucks and having the farmer or locals go and buy a res. tag for it.
