    Need Opinions /Help

Is there an option to get super high? Would a straight West or East wind be benificial?

Sounds like my shot as well. I figured him for 25 yards and was only 18. Still makes me sick. Only thing I still can't figure is why i didn't have any blood with a solid shot and using a 2" rage.

    Winter trail cams

Dang that's more hay than I was thinking! Is that 6 LARGE squares or the smaller ones you get st theisens? If i could just get a pic of one particular buck after gun season I would be happy.

    Winter trail cams

I have pulled all my trail cams to get ready for the shot gunners. I'm starting to think about setting out my cams to see what is left. What is good to set out for some attatractents? I'm thinking about some small alfalfa bails and corn. How long should I expect one small square to last?

Had the same thing last year. Behind front should and cracked opposite side shoulder. Broken arrow and no blood with a Rage. Searched for days and no sign of him. Shot gunners got him and said he had a real bad infection and moving slow. After i shot him I was confident he was a dead duck.

    Pasture to CRP

Are there any programs available through NRCS for converting pasture ground to CRP? I will end up calling their office but curious if anyone has any experience with this. Thanks

    Fact or Myth

Anecdotal, but I shot a buck this Nov 8th. I shot him center and back. Gut shot. He traveled approx 1000 yards and bed down in the timber and died. He actually walked right past a small pond to get there. Kind of odd I thought.

Mark Drury says the rut will pick up on the 15th-18th due to lock down and moon phase for what it's worth.

Good action tonight. Had 7 does and 2 small buck and put a shot on a big mature buck. Had a pass thru and tracked him 600 yards thru a cut corn field until it turned into CRP. Pulled out and will keep looking tomorrow!

Had a booner cruising hard right at noon. Was headed right to me but decided to take a left instead. Would not respond to calls. Hopefully he circles back later.

    Someones disappointed

Oh, I didn't see the entrance was actually on second pic. Very high. I thought entrance was on first pic and no exit on second.

    Mature or not?

No expert but he looks young to me. 3.5

That looks like a pretty decent shot. Deer got lucky.

I sat the AM and then back to a different stand in the afternoon today. I saw 6 bucks and 9 does total. All were just out for a snack. No chasing, sparring, dogging, etc. No visible rut activity. Weird .

This AM temps are obviously much cooler than afternoon. Think that is a huge advantage for the mornings?

    Mobile Hunting

I have a summit that I love. I have 4 hang ons in place but it's nice to have the mobile option if i have a hunch to go somewhere else. And it is very comfortable.
