Went out tonight and sat in our heated blind wasn't to bad until I had to walk back to truck. Seen quite a few deer, just not the ones I wanted to see. I am going to try tomorrow evening, if I don't talk myself out of it.

Just my luck. I finally by a farm in southern Iowa and the deer population plum it's. The biggest difference I have noticed this year is that there has been a major decrease in my sightings of smaller bucks.

The trees are not tubed. They are 6 years old and the deer already got to 50% of them. When I bought the farm they were already planted and the state didn't make them tube them. I would rather have switch grass but can't change that for another 9 years.

Yes we are going to mow it short then lower the boom all the way down as not to get any on the trees then run a 8' disk in between the 10' rows.

I was wandering if the deer our hitting the food sources like in late season muzzy due to the extreme cold. Or if they are still hunkered down due to shotgun season. I was thinking about driving down to my farm to hunt tomorrow night (2 hr drive) but not sure. That is ware my best food source...

I have found 4 bucks in creek or by pond and 2 does a 100 yards or so from water. Lee county
