Yeah the research I have done about tordon, I don’t want to use that anywhere near the desirables in this patch. Better safe than sorry!

Anyone with success stories of removing black locusts stands and turning that area into something more desirable? I have a little under a half acre of a thick black locust stand, with of course tons of honey suckle underneath. I have found some white oaks, black oaks and some cherry intermixed...
I’ll share what I have started. After research and some great advice from here on this board. The dark blue is existing 4 wheeler trails, red circles are pockets I cut in the cedar thickets, light blue are trails I cut leading to and from the pockets. I am planning on doing a few more pockets...
Awesome I figured that would be the answer, what do you guys do with the stumps? Cut flush with ground?
I have always considered myself a diehard hunter, but now being a landowner, I have become almost more interested in improving the land. (I had never even planted a food plot until last year)...
Iowabowhunter1983, do you have any progress pictures or videos of the property you cut all the cedars? (Never mind I scrolled right by the picture) I bought a property about a year ago and it has some thick cedar patches. Zero light in there/ dark during middle of day. South facing hill side so...
Spread urea on my quarter acre brassica/radish plot before a 50% chance of rain. Well, rain never came. I don’t see any of the urea on top of soil anymore so I am guessing it evaporated. No signs of fertilizer burn. Would you guys try applying again?

I am also new to the landowner thing. I am wondering if I could do the following.
State wide any sex tags - bow and late muzzy
Doe tag for 2nd or 1st season shotgun
Landowner any sex tag- bow
Could a guy still get an antler less landowner tag for shotgun seasons?

I tried both of them on 2 weeks ago, ended up buying Mucks. I tried on Dryshod artic storm version and bought Muck Artic Pros. The quality of the Dryshod boot looked great, the Mucks just fit better to me
I also picked one up from timberland last week. Not the prettiest pelt out there but the mount turned out awesome. I shot this one with my bow, I don’t trap so not sure how many bobcats I’ll harvest in my lifetime. Like others said, I highly recommend Cole.
