Successful last day of bonus season

Old Buck- Sounds like a great year, did you ever put a tape to that heavy beamed buck of yours?? I was also fortunate enough to have my son shoot his first buck in Wisconsin this year. Quite a thrill for Dad and son. Sorry we didn't have a chance to share videos before heading back to...

    November 2002 Memories?

Wisco Kid- your story sounds all to familiar. I let a wide 9 walk under my tree on the last Saturday of the early bow season last year in Wisconsin. Same result, the farmer next to us shot him opening morning of the gun season. He turned out to have a 19 1/4" inside spread but short tines...

    Arrow rest

I haven't shot one of these new releases yet but I did meet Dan Evans this weekend in Arizona, he is the owner of Trophytaker. We talked about the release quite a bit, seemed like things have been going real well with his product. He was a very nice guy and he loves to hunt elk. He told me to...

    Call T.I.P., it works!

I agree Old Buck no one can watch their hunting ground all the time but if everyone in an area gets involved and looks out for one another, together we can make a difference. As far as I am concerner these wildlife violators are the very bottom of the barrel and they tarnish our good name.

    Bobcats

A friend of mine who was hunting down by Seymor this fall had a bobcat walk right under his treestand. It was the first one he had seen down there.

Say No to Senate File 278

MH-I agree with you, as a NR landowner I would simply like to have some sort of preference over a NR-non landowner. I am not a high level manager or a Dr. but rather someone who has worked hard to save my money with the hope that someday I will have a place to hunt quality whitetails with my...

    Nonresident Deer Hunting application

Blind sow, I imagine if you were to draw an anterless tag you would not get a preference point. I have always stated on the application I would accept an anterless tag if not chosen for a buck tag simply because being in the Iowa woods in November is the incredible. However, if I would not...

    Nonresident Deer Hunting application

I am also interested when the preference points system will begin. I am also curious when these proposed changes will be approved or rejected. I personally like the preference system I can at least count on on tag every other year and since I am an Iowa land owner that is alot better than the...
