    The Mount of Patches

That's one of the prettiest mounts I've seen. His cape is stunning. Congrats on a beautiful deer.

    hf 2160 baiting

What a shame so many resources are being used as a knee jerk reaction to the Franz decision. Your govt is treating this like dooms day for deer hunting by their wording yet it's still only a $100.00 fine.

    HF 2168 Tresspassing

Daver You will always have bad apples who will abuse the law, but I think it would be much less than what happens currently. If the landowners lets the animal lay in Indiana, they would be ticketed for wanton waste. The other option they are given is using one of their tags for the animal...

    HF 2168 Tresspassing

Go start but you need to also stop people from entering land to retrieve dogs or game without permission.

HF 2315 No more Conservation Officers.

This may be one of the worst bill proposals I've ever seen. Whom ever authored this one needs kicked to the curb in a hurry!

    Just for off season discussion

I rarely hang and hunt anymore in the same day, but when I do I prefer the XOP sticks and a lone wolf alpha. I've hunted out of the wedge locks and the hanging design seems outstanding, but they are a very small stands. The millenniums are by far and away the most comfortable hang on I've...

Iowa resident wanting to nowhunt Illinois

You must purchase the OTC tag in person at a retail location. You cannot buy them over the phone or internet. I purchased my tag last year around Oct 30th and they had about 17,000 left.

    Unfortunate turkey accident

All the strutting, gobbling and showing off was finally too much for him to handle.......

    Bucks for next year

The last buck from the first set could be 3.5 as opposed to 4.5. Late season pics are tough but his hocks are minimally stained for a 4.5 year old. Obviously that's not an end all characteristic, but it got my attention.

    Bucks for next year

The first buck looks considerably older than 3.5 to me.

    Rifle usage HF 2047

In Indiana I also questioned the professional qualifications of the NRC board members and specifically their background and sources for making such a proposal without proper research and data supporting the idea.

    Rifle usage HF 2047

BTW Arguing against it from a safety perspective will be defeated easily. IOWA has a very low human density combined with rolling terrain in southern counties. Other states with similar demographics already allow rifle hunting and your DNR will cite their safety record as a reason to allow...

    Rifle usage HF 2047

If you have any questions regarding what chipping away will do check Indiana's gun laws. It really is a stepping stone to high powered rifles. Custom gun makers can create about whatever you want to fit into cartridge length restrictions. Disabled hunters do not need a gun for all seasons...

Wolf shot in Van Buren county

Could also be a coy dog. I've seen yotes that big but last time was in the early 80's when my uncle shot him.

    What do you shoot?

We have used them for several years. Massive internal damage but very poor entrance and exit holes. I never expect boiler room shot deer with a pass through to be hard to blood trail but I've had a few like that. They seem to expand better on shoulder shots, but behind the shoulder deer lose...

    New cameras

Tried the new Cuddeback E3 blackflash and it's the worst cuddle I've seen. Night pictures are very grainy which is a problem they have had for the last several years. The major issue is grainy daylight pictures!! I've never seen anything like it. Bought it to give cudde another chance but...

    New cameras

I still can't believe someone hasn't copied Buckeyes cams idea at a much cheaper price point. BTW check out the deer lab product. I've been doing this by hand since 2010 and it's a pain in the rear end. Once historical data is established on a buck he's in big trouble. You will darn near...

    Another great deer chip!

    Ccw

I see you made a decision already but food for thought....it depends on what you want the gun to do. If it's a conceal carry you want slim and small because it's always on you. Also a CC gun is a last resort weapon meaning that if it ever comes out of the holster you are pulling the trigger in...
