    Thanks! I'm not sure where the birds roosted last night, i went and sat this morning and the only thing in the area was a lone hen??? ha this season is gonna be fun. Of course then my feeder went off and i heard a gobble... haha

    Rainy days mean the turkeys come in to eat. First pic 7:15 3 hens and a longbeard Reinforcements called in for later that morning This bird is not a jake, hes a really old bird with almost no beard!

    Anyone know what i can put out to really attract the birds to this site? I'm spinning corn right now and im not happy with the way the birds are taking to it.... I want for this area to be where the hens come to eat everyday.

    New decoys

    You can't get any more realistic than photo printed, unless you use a mounted decoy. We'll see how it goes, from a distance it looks like a real tom.

    Yeah, the heads of these decoys are the most realistic of any i have ever seen. One problem i have seen is they are really shiny, but i figure that if i hit it with a matte spray, it will solve that problem. Who else has one of these?

    food plot

    I want to do a food plot for this comming deer season, but am limited to equipment. I have a field that is mostly bare, no grass in it. If i mow the field and broadcast rye grass and clover seed, will it take?

    Fake Cam pic

    Would not be hard to do, notice you can't see the tip of the tail, someone or something could be holding it straight out for the pic. I also think it is fake, mainly because the ear position screams dead deer to me. Although the leap the deer has taken in the photo looks like the mule kick...

    Acorns???

    This year i picked up 15-20 pounds of acorns by hand and carried them to my hunting lease, where there are very few acorn trees, and they ate them all up within a week. I kept the acorns in a corn sack in my garage for a week or so.

    yessir, unmanaged, non protein fed NC deer, all pics taken on 64 acres as well. But this spring im gonna start feeding protein
