    Caught in the ACT!

I think I would look away - it's an intimate moment between two or more deer who love each other, you know.

    Need some input

Matt, that is the setup we use at Wildwood Hills Ranch. The bows work great for all sizes of kids, and are easy to maintain. The kevlar backstop does a great job of stopping errant arrows (if not stretched tight). Wish you could come to one of our Bounceback events at the ranch this fall and...

    Biggest buck I've ever taken!

Dang - that is a fantastic buck. Long tines and good mass - very few people would have let him walk by. Congrats on an awesome buck !

    Cool video!

That is pretty neat. For awhile, I thought that would be the first animal to be killed by eating an arrow.

    Too Late for Poison Ivy???????

I got into something just over a week ago. A couple days later, I looked like Rocky after the 5th round. 'Almost' back to normal now.

Congrats, Zach - that is really a nice looking buck. Heck of a first deer. Has your daddy seen the deer yet, or is he still hunting out west?

    Captain Hook Makes A Mistake

Enjoyed the history report on your buck. Great job of being patient, and waiting til the time was right. He is an awesome buck, and you'll remember that hunt for a long, long time.

    hunter harassment by TRESPASSERS

Sounds to me like you handled this one pretty well. They'll likely get thumped, but sometimes that's the only thing that will wake them up. Probably going to take more than just this incident, but it's a good start. Hope you get rewarded with that big buck for all your frustrations.

    Non typical.

Plus, the poor guy has those numbers stuck on his belly. That has to hurt a lot.

    All the crap

I got to the woods one time, and realized that I didn't bring my boots. It was warm enough, so I headed to my stand in my stocking feet. As long as I avoided the locust thorns, all was well. Weird feeling to hunt without boots - don't try it.

    Gotta Love it!

I agree that life is good. And it gets even better at times like this. Congrats to you and your son on a great first deer. He'll never forget that moment.
